Based on the proven centrifugal pumps of the Fristam FP range, the shear pump has a new, efficient mixing method. A rotor/stator system which operates at tip speeds of up to 38 m/s is utilized instead of the impeller. It draws inhomogeneous media though shearing clearances of only 0.3 mm.

High-performance blending of multiphase products is enabled by the exceptionally high flow rates which are generated in the rotor/stator system and high shear rate of up to 125,000 1/s. Inseparable emulsions and end products of incomparable homogeneity are the result.

As with all Fristram components, this unique quality and precision of the system enables it to achieve smooth operating performance. Customised solutions are offered as applications vary in complexity and type. These range from small single units to large-scale inline installations, plus expert engineering support and consultation.
